About Roy Vieth
An Accredited Member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography)

Roy Vieth is an accomplished photographer with more than 35 years of knowledge and experience gained from in-the-field photography pursuits in various locations in Australia and overseas.

Roy first picked up a camera at the age of ten; his interest quickly developed from a general interest into a lifetime passion that he enjoys sharing with others. Starting with a film camera he preferred shooting with transparencies to avoid the ever so variable photo lab results.

Keeping abreast of photographic technology over the years, Roy’s first digital SLR was the Canon EOS D30 with 3.3 megapixels and CMOS sensor released in the year 2000. Regularly updating his equipment since then, Roy now shoots with the Canon EOS 1D III and 5D II and owns a series of Canon pro L-series lenses that benefit his style of photography (and of course others on the wishlist).

Over many years, people who have come to know Roy have recognised that he captures breath-taking images, many of which are displayed in living rooms around the world. He has also shared his knowledge and experience to encourage budding photographers release their "inner shutterbug" and develop their own style in their photography pursuits… the inspiration behind Shutterbug Walkabouts.

"I am very passionate about photography and particularly interested in capturing the scenes, patterns and textures found in our natural world. Travelling the world has broadened my photography vision and I've always got my camera at my side ready for any opportunity to create images of the scenes observed with my own eyes. Photographers from around the world have provided me with inspiration throughout my life and I wish to inspire others on the same path." – Roy Vieth

It is Roy’s interest in sharing his passion with others that has provided the inspiration behind a new business. This business is Shutterbug Walkabouts – Experiences in Tasmania… for Photography Enthusiasts. See our website for more information… http://www.shutterbugwalkabouts.com.au
